TORONTO HEALTH INNOVATION WEEK AND RESI CONFERENCE, NEW OFFICE, TECH INVESTMENTS

White Rock, BC (March 2017) — The Romich Group is pleased to take the stage at the Redefining Early Stage Investments (RESI) conference in Toronto on April 4th, 2017. The group is also actively investing in a number of new developments on the East Coast.

Dr Roy Jackson, Founder of the Romich Group, will speak at Canada’s largest conference in early stage healthcare investment, known for connecting up-and-coming life sciences startup with investors. He will discuss Family Office opportunities and how entrepreneurs can best prepare themselves to present to and work with Romich.

This highly anticipated RESI conference returns for its second year. The event was so successful in its inaugural year that it inspired organizers to build out Toronto’s first Health Innovation Week (April 3rd to 7th, 2017). The conference is produced by Life Science Nation and takes place at the MaRS Discovery District, an innovation hub for health and other sectors.

“I am honoured to speak at RESI among the top healthcare leaders in Canada,” said Dr Roy Jackson. “We look forward to sharing our insights with healthcare startups and investors, as Romich plays active roles on both sides. We are healthcare professionals running multiple clinics, as well as investors with a long history of making successful business and biotech investments.”

In response to growing demand, a second Romich Group location will open in Toronto to better serve clients on the East Coast. Set to open in 2017, the new office will provide key services such as investments, consultations, and clinics.

The group is also investing in two disruptive technology firms based on the East Coast. Drone Delivery Canada is a Toronto-based pioneering tech company using drones to redefine traditional ways of shipping. Drone technology will be able to deliver products faster, easier, and cheaper.

The second investment is betterU, an Ottawa-based online education technology company that provides access to quality education globally. betterU serves as a portal to the world’s top online educational institutions with a key focus on connecting skills to the employment service industry.

“We believe in investing only in the most leading-edge technologies, whether it’s in health, education, shipping, or whichever industry new opportunities for disruption appear,” said Dr Roy Jackson.
